that if a person who is trying to help you with something (man at the bank helping me with cutting off my check card because of unauthorized charges) asks you a question (“do you have any payments that come out of your checking automatically?”), and all he needs is a “yes” or “no” answer, he should frame it as an “if” statement (“if there are any shits that you pay on the reg, then you should do XYZ”), and not let me prattle on about the things i pay (“well i have a hulu thing, and then i think blue cross just charged me for the health stuff, and also there is a monthly cfca thinger”), thinking that he needs a detailed response, when really he is bored and waiting for me to stop
